How is it calculated?
Sale price equals cost divided by 1 minus the target margin and fee rate, expressed as fractions. Margin is measured against sales, not as a markup on cost.
Worked example
A cost of ILS 60, a 30% target margin and a 10% fee give a sale price of ILS 100: ILS 10 in fees and ILS 30 in profit.
Common questions
How does margin differ from markup?
With an ILS 80 cost and ILS 100 sale price, margin is 20% of sales while markup is 25% of cost. This calculator uses margin.
